Mission
The board, staff and volunteers of Cradle of Hope believe in the sanctity of all human life. With this in mind, our Mission is to encourage life by providing financial aid to women and babies in crisis, especially those women who might not choose life because of financial pressures.Focus
To Encourage Life and provide a transition from Desperation to Hope.A pregnant woman often feels pressured by financial needs that seem overpowering during pregnancy. She may believe that several hundred dollars for rent is an insurmountable obstacle. Cradle of Hope helps bridge the rough times so a woman can transition from desperation to hope.
For instance:
- A woman experiencing an untimely pregnancy who has been rejected by family and friends
- A woman who needs immediate assistance because a financial crisis is putting her health or the health of her baby at risk
- A woman whose income is insufficient but still causes her to be ineligible for other resources – Cradle of Hope is often the only organization that is able to help a pregnant woman.
Women fill out applications for Cradle of Hope funds with the assistance of social workers, healthcare personnel and trained volunteers in a vast network of Minnesota agencies that serve low-income pregnant women. See Referring Agencies
